I (typically wear DT1) got a bizarre email from 1-800-CONTACTS that they added a new prescription to my account for their new house brand 1-day contacts so that I could order them. I tried to figure out if they were a generic for some other kind of contact (kind of like how the Kirkland contacts are MyDays), but I couldn't figure anything out.

Ordering from 1800 contacts - what do I need to look out for?
Dec 1, 2021 · I searched "1800 contacts" on this sub and there was a mixture of positive and negative feedback. The main issues seemed to be contacts nearing expiration date and them potentially selling you contacts made in subpar facilities. For expiration date, that should be easy to look out for as all contacts have an expiration date printed.

Apr 5, 2023 · Ask your eye doc to trial dailies total 1 for astigmatism. In our clinic DT1 sphere is the Ferrari of all contacts for a long time. Now the docs are fitting the new toric design and patients feel like they are wearing nothing, with great vision. But ask to be fit by your eye doc. They may approve you for different base curve and DIA. Good luck!

Nov 16, 2023 · I'm new to contacts and have been trying out a few different ones (all 1-day multifocals if that matters.) I didn't care for B&L Infuse, and the Acuvue Moist 1 Day don't seem to fit as well even though they are comfortable once I finally get them in. I really wanted to like those as I read they are good for dry eyes.
