The Integral model—“all-quadrants, all-levels, all-lines, all-states, all-types”—is the simplest model that can handle all of the truly essential items. We sometimes shorten all of this to simply “all-quadrants, all-levels”—or AQAL. The quadrants are, for example, self, culture, and nature, and the levels are body, mind, and spirit.
