Recreational boating – The harbour has a public boat ramp and landing jetty for boat users to enjoy time on the bay. Boat licenses are required and Victorian boating rules apply. The Apollo Bay Sailing Club is based at the port, with a clubhouse and storage space for trailered yachts.

Jul 22, 2013 · If you haven't been before...there are four choices for you at Apollo....1) the jetty at the boat berthing marina. 2) the ocean side of the eastern rock wall , 3) the marina side of the eastern rock wall, 4) surf beach at the northern end of the bay.

The sand that accumulates in the harbour forms a 300 m long beach along the southern side, with a boat ramp and jetty in the centre. There is also a large car park behind, and the harbour walls to either end.

Jan 2, 2015 · A view of the town's enormous jetty, from 1908. The jetty was used to allow large cargo ships to dock and collect saw logs. It fell into disuse and disrepair after the logging trade ended, and was demolished in the 1950s.
