New RRS Tripod and Anvil-30 Feedback | Sniper's Hide Forum
Feb 13, 2017 · The Anvil 30 is much lighter than the Leveling base, and according to RRS, is supposed to be as stable as the leveling base, but have as much adjustment as a ball head. The 30 also has a pic rail clamp within its arca rail clamp, so it is very versatile for different weapons.
Help me not hate my RRS Anvil 30 | Sniper's Hide Forum
Mar 8, 2021 · The Anvil 30’s panning is the furthest thing from smooth and consistent. The friction lever has essentially three settings: (1) the gun will be so unstable it’s unusable, (2) the gun will kinda pan but the ballhead will make noise as you do so and the lever is sticking out 90 and getting in the way, and (3) the gun is rock solidly locked ...
Cleanest Anvil 30 mount? | Sniper's Hide Forum
May 8, 2019 · I am building a rifle that will have a Manners EH1 stock and I am trying to figure out the cleanest way to configure that with a anvil 30. I will have a small pic rail on the front for a bipod that could be used for that but I was also thinking about a rail right in front of the bottom metal...

RRS Anvil 30 for glassing and shooting? | Sniper's Hide Forum
Feb 28, 2018 · I have an Anvil-30 on a 2Vets Tripod. I'm older and do not compete and never will. I have, however, shot off of the tripod/Anvil in clinics and own my own time both at the square range and hunting. I have also used it with a spotting scope and a spotting scope/range finder combo mounted on a MUB bridge. I like it a lot for shooting off of.
Anvil-30 and adapter plates | Sniper's Hide Forum
Feb 21, 2012 · Getting into Tripods As I understand it (feel free to correct me) Anvil 30 is the way to go. However you can use a RRS tripod or a 2 Vets Tripod. RRS is lighter--2 Vets has a better price. What I don't understand is the adapter plates. The Anvil-30 ARC has no adapter looking at it …

Leofoto LN-364C , what RRS BH-55 or Anvil 30? - Sniper's Hide
Jun 19, 2017 · I use an Anvil-30 with a small cheap ballhead stacked on top of it. My binos and LRF ride on top of the ball head on a wide Arca bar/plate, and the ball head rides on a small Arca plate clamped to the Anvil.
RRS Anvil 30 for Binos? - Sniper's Hide Forum
Feb 27, 2013 · Curious if any of you who’ve had the opportunity to handle the Anvil 30 can comment if it would work well for glassing with Binos? Id mount it on my Manfrotto 190CF that I’ve used for years with my hog saddle. I figured the Anvil can double as a bino mount and a rifle tripod (With sawtooth rail)dropping weight while hunting.
New Leofoto Anvil Copy | Sniper's Hide Forum
Feb 9, 2022 · This is a direct reproduction of an Anvil-30/TFCT. I used an Anvil extensively the day before I used this head extensively, and there’s really not a functional difference (other than the knob vs. lever on the clamp, obviously). Time will tell regarding durability, but this is not a “Chinese POS”. The tripod is of typical good Leofoto quality.
