Ann Royer was born in Sioux City. She began taking classes at the Sioux City Art Center as a young child, shortly after the Art Center opened in 1938. She attended Bryant Elementary and North Junior High Schools, and then graduated from St. Mary’s Hall in Faribault, Minnesota.

Since moving her mural, decorative painting and teaching business to McKinney, Texas, in 1997 (McKinney Art and Design Studio), Anne has worked with residential and business clientele across the DFW metroplex.
