Aug 1, 2023 · However, as I have gotten older, I have found anime (and voiced JRPGs) harder to enjoy because they trigger this sort of “cringe” response that seems liked to how characters in anime/voiced JRPGs speak and behave/gesture/emote. This whole topic recently resurfaced for me after starting to play FFVII Remake following FF XVI.

So fun fact, but if you look closely when an anime character is smiling with their eyes closed, often you can see them put a white light effect in the eyes. See this as an example. In shots like this the white part is supposed to indicate that the characters eyes aren't 100% closed.

Amagi Brilliant Park had this one body swapping episode that was so unbearably cringe but so fucking funny, i had to pause multiple times to question my lifes decisions but it's still 11/10

Sep 8, 2016 · The manga is great too. Pretty much right after where the anime ends, it swerves into a really well done billdungsroman while still keeping the cringe comedy factor. It somehow manages to be both incredibly awkward, hilarious, and heartwarming.

May 2, 2023 · Yeah and the background is intense, I think it would've been more intimidating if they add intensity effects and an appropriate OST, thats why most anime only reactions just went through this scene like it was nothing, this scene was supposed to show Tanjiro development from the hesitant boy in s1 to the wild critical thinker type.
