Amid Evil has a wide assortment of weapons available to the player. While the first main weapon, the Axe of the Black Labyrinth (or Gauntlets of the Platinum Star), is always with you, the rest of the arsenal is scattered around on each level and are unable to use without having their respective mana .

As in Heretic, the player must battle enemies using an array of magical weapons. In addition to the Axe of the Black Labyrinth, there are six ranged weapons in the game, each using one of four types of mana. The player must find both the weapons and the mana in the game world.

Axe of the Black Labyrinth is the starting weapon of Amid Evil. This is the only melee weapon that doesn't require mana for use. It was obtained by the main protagonist after he completed the trials of the Black Labyrinth and gained his status as the Champion of the Ancients.
