Best unit in codex is Abaddon[auto included in all list], but you can wait next FAQ with points update. It's huge nerf chances. Best way to create Alpha Legion competitive roster probably just soup with Demons/Knights.

Not at all. In fact, the current lore has Chaos trying to make their own primaris, with the Alpha Legion being the closest to succeeding. In addition, GW has begun blurring the lines between primaris and first-born. They've even begun to phase out all first-born models. So don't worry about models matching lore, just buy what you think is cool.

Mar 11, 2023 · Alpha legion are the least corrupted army so I would look towards the new plastic heresy models instead of standard CSM. Might be worth picking up the age of Darkness box set and some either 3rd party or second hand chaos bits to maybe chaos them up a little and provide more weapon options.
