Aug 15, 2022 · Alona was 100% accurate, every SPN message board tore her character apart. I remember the comments from the IMDb message board vividly. The problem wasn’t on her, it was the writing and she briefly touched on that in a very polite way. The writers had no idea what to do with Jo. She was never meant to be in the first place.

First, what happens to Alona Tal, the actress who played Molly? I loved that Molly. She is a great actress. I can't find any reasons online, only "undisclosed" as to why she wasn't in the movie. I honestly can't help wondering if it's because Alona Tal is originally from Israel. I guess that's considered controversial these days.

Sep 24, 2022 · I’m on my 5th time rewatching all of Supernatural and I don’t know if it’s because I have a daughter about the same age as Jo or if it’s the unreal acting of Alona Tal and Samantha Ferris and their mother/daughter connection, but the scene between the two of them at the tail end of the episode Abandon All Hope guts me every time.

The Supernatural rewatch podcast just did an interview with Alona Tal about her character, the brother/sister vs will-they-won’t-they vibe, and the strong fan reaction against Dean having an official female love interest that influenced the decision to kill her character off- it’s a good listen.

Sep 17, 2022 · Actually, Jo (Alona Tal) was on the SPN podcast that Richard (Gabriel) and Rob (Chuck) are doing for each episode. Alona said that she was told to be Dean's mirror in the show. That's why she has this "bravado" feeling about her in how she acts. Essentially though, her character is a young woman.
