Picked this up at an Aldi's in Florida while on a trip. I can't fault it too much considering the low cost - 2 L for $6 (4 500mL cans). The appearance is excellent. I wish there was a little more aroma, but what I'm getting smells like a German pilsner malt. The taste is dry and refreshing, which makes the mouthfeel refreshing as well.

Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also a bit of nuttiness noticeable in the flavor too. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's a bit smooth and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew overall, for the price I really can't complain at $7.99 a six pack, Aldi USA purchase. Worth a try if you come across some!

Purchased as a six-pack of 12oz bottles from Aldi for $7.99. Poured into a nonic pint glass. L - Clear pale yellow, with a one-finger pale white head. Head retains relatively well over time. S - Light toast. Biscuit. A bit floral. T - Matches nose exactly. More bready than I expected. A bit on the sweet side. Light grain finish.

Green bottle from Aldi. Poured into a pint glass, the beer is a crystal clear light gold with a smallish white head. The aroma is of malts, some hop spice and just a quick whiff of that green bottle funk. The taste is slightly sweet with a bit of Ritz cracker taste from the malts and some grassy almost lemony notes from the hops.

Fraser Briggs Premium Lager is sold at Aldi Australia. Most if not all of Aldis non-brand beers are brewed under contract by a unknown brewery in New Zealand. Vessel: 330ml green bottle. Aldi are trying to emulate James Boags Premium Lager with this beer. Poured into an Ikea Tumbler. Best Before 10 August 2024. So it's about 4 months fresh.

May 17, 2024 · Overall, I Would say that Aldi contracted an approximate stand-in (not exactly a clone) of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Same ABV, Similar looks, and somewhat similar flavor...and a fitting name. And a couple bucks cheaper for the 12 pack. It's not SNPA--it lacks the raw energy and depth of a bottle-conditioned American pale ale--but it's not bad ...
