Mar 31, 2021 · He used to bury the bodies of his victims on a hunting ground and a hunter mistook him for a deer and shot him dead. More than likely a hunter is going to have dogs with him. Apparently Alastor was not at all happy about his mode of death.

Jan 17, 2020 · OK so I was looking through the character pages because of sheer absolute boredom (hehehe) and noticed that it says that Alastor died because of a dog related incident, but I've always heard that he died by being shot by a hunter who mistook him for a deer.

Alastor's attacks were fairly effective against the angels up to that point, and it's perfectly possible that he had concealed angelic weapons to use if he needed them after he subdued Adam. However, I think the real answer was his cane.
