Sep 27, 2016 · Since our chartering in 1926 by the visionary of our illustrious sorority, Ethel Hedgeman Lyle, we have served the Philadelphia area with a variety of award winning projects and programs. Omega Omega Chapter serves as a subordinate chapter to our national organization and the North Atlantic Region.

Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on December 1, 1925 with students from Cleveland, Mather and Oberlin Colleges. Twelve new members were introduced to the public in early 1926.

With the theme Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, the 2022-2026 administration seeks to build upon Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s rich legacy of service by galvanizing our sisterhood of more than 120,000 active members to lead on the front lines of change, education, and advocacy.

Nov 17, 2016 · Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is an international service organization that was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1908. It is the oldest Greek-lettered organization established by African-American college-educated women.
