The IRIS is an innovative sealing system designed for Airtight Platform (ATP) connections in Monopile (MP)/Transition Piece (TP) foundations. Its advanced design features a continuous ring with a central annulus to securely seal the gap between the airtight platform and the inner wall of the monopile, ensuring airtightness and long-term durability.

The airtight platform and any protruding cables will have to be removed before a temporary airtight cover can be fixed to the top of the pile to allow the pressure build up inside the pile possible. Such cover will have to be strengthened to withstand the forces.
