Apr 7, 2017 · I use a polyfill cork with foil over that, and haven't had a problem of boil over. Maybe your agar mix is too thick. Once I foolishly tried to eye more in my mix and made it way to thick. Went to swirl it on the heat in a flask and I almost covered my hand in burning hot agar. Now i use a digital scale every time.
