Aenar Targaryen, known as Aenar the Exile, was a nobleman and a dragonlord of House Targaryen from the Valyrian Freehold. He was the father of Daenys "the Dreamer" and Gaemon "the Glorious".

"The Aenar" was the third installment of a three-part story which concluded the events of episodes "Babel One" and "United". Set in the 22nd century, the series follows the adventures of the first Starfleet starship Enterprise.

Aenar Targaryen was a dragonlord of the old Valyrian Freehold, who moved the Targaryen family to Dragonstone twelve years before the Doom of Valyria - which resulted in the Targaryens being the only family of dragonlords to survive the destruction of Old Valyria.

By moving his family to the outpost, Aenar became the first known Lord of Dragonstone. Aenar's descendants continued to rule Dragonstone after his death, until Lord Aegon Targaryen conquered the Seven Kingdoms in his Conquest. [1]
