Prince Aemond flew on Vhagar to Storm's End, so they could win the support of Lord Borros Baratheon for King Aegon II Targaryen. There Aemond met with Prince Lucerys Velaryon, at Storm's End hoping to gain support for his mother Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen.

Aemond mounted Vhagar and pursued his nephew, avenging the loss of his eye by killing Lucerys and Arrax. Mushroom claims Aemond located the boy's corpse and removed both of his eyes to present them to Lady Maris on a bed of seaweed.

The Battle Above the Gods Eye[1] was an aerial duel that took place in the skies above Harrenhal and the Gods Eye between two of the most powerful dragons, Vhagar and Caraxes, and their riders, Prince Aemond Targaryen and Prince Daemon Targaryen, during the civil war called the Dance of the Dragons.[2]

Oct 3, 2022 · The same night as Laena Velaryon’s funeral, Aemond conspires to steal her dragon, which involves getting Vhagar to obey in High Valyrian, risking his own death, and avoiding being caught by the Velaryons.

Oct 11, 2022 · Immediately after Laena’s death, young Aemond ventures to bond with her dragon, the great Vhagar. Once this is discovered, accusations of him “stealing” Vhagar are hurled at him, and the ordeal ends with him losing an eye.

Jul 31, 2023 · Vhagar and Aemond became known as the Terror of the Trident, but their reign would be short. Daemon would eventually challenge his nephew to a duel in the skies, where the rogue prince kills Aemond at the cost of his own life.
