Take it into your nearest Acura dealership and they will replace your tranny for free plus give you a loaner for a few days.

The 2004 Honda Accord V6 was rated at 240hp and the 2004 Acura TL was rated at 270hp. Now from what I understand, the engines have not been changed since the cars were redesigned, so there is a much bigger difference in power, but the new ratings system seem to narrow the gap.

Acura said it only affected the '00 TL. Then the 2001, '02, the '03s and on and on for the TL. Same thing with the MDX. Acura minimized the problem and more and more years were similarly effected. Acura has not solved these problems and couple that with the worst customers service I've ever experienced, this brand is in trouble.

As others have noted, the "pause" in the Acura HandsFreeLink (mine is a 2008 Acura TL) is ridiculously short, maybe a ¼ second, or the time it takes to press a single key. I discovered that 15 pauses between the number and the extension provided sufficient time to connect the call before HFL then transmitted the extension.

The TL is a heck of a car and a good deal in and of itself (I'm even thinling of getting a TL and saving the money); I have been struggling since March to convince myself that the RL is worth ~$10K more than the TL - I'm not sure that it is :confuse: Your comments about disenchanted M owners is a bit puzzling; I have not gotten that impression ...
