Anterior Chamber Intraocular Lenses - EyeWiki
The most common method of sizing an ACIOL is by determining the white-to-white (WTW) diameter and adding 1mm; however, these estimations of angle position vary in accuracy depending on the anatomy of the patient.
Anterior Chamber Intraocular Lens Placement Technique
Jul 5, 2016 · Determine the AC IOL diameter: Measure the limbal white to white (WTW) diameter on the axis of IOL placement. Add 1 mm to the WTW and use the AC IOL length closest to this result. For example, if the scleral tunnel will be placed temporally, measure the horizontal white-to-white corneal diameter.
ACIOL-Kelman Multiflex design • The “newer” KelmanMultiflexdesign has overcome most of the flaws of earlier designs – Open Loop design – Flexible haptics – Anterior vaulting (0.5 mm) • Reduces Pupil block • Reduces Iris chaffing and Uveitis • If properly implanted, results of KelmanMultiflex lens have been very good

Apr 2, 2024 · White-to-white measurements become particularly important when an anterior chamber IOL (ACIOL) or an implantable collamer lens (ICL) will be planned for use. Breakdown of biometry in IOL power calculations
Comparison of white-to-white measurements using four devices …
Oct 2, 2022 · Using the Orbscan WTW and ACD, the desired vault of 0.25 to 0.75 mm and 0.25 to 1.00 mm was achieved in 70% and 91% of eyes, respectively. Substituting caliper WTW to IOLMaster 700 or Pentacam AXL WTW increases the percentage of achieving the desired vault to 80%, similar to the Orbscan.
