Dec 22, 2023 · A couple times my doctor prescribed a Bricanyl inhaler to try and suppress the cough, since my lungs sounded fine. Saw a different doctor and he immediately suspected acid reflux which is being particularly aggravated when I get sick. Got on a course of prescription anti reflux drugs and it helped.

I have constipation, acid reflux, a bit of fatigue (not horrible), shortness of breath (it’s hard to take in deep breaths), chest congestion and a slight cough with phlegm.

Dec 10, 2022 · Look up LPR (laryngopharengial reflux). Your symptoms may be helped by cutting out acidic foods and drinks (like coffee). Look up the Stanford protocol. You may also need to change meds and up your dose of a ppi if you’re on one. LPR can also cause hoarseness and chronic cough. I’m still dealing with mine and it’s not a fun journey.

Jul 28, 2021 · yes ! so my cough was really mild like really tiny coughs. I was on PPIs at the time and kept taking them for another week or so and the cough disappeared altho I still feel some discomfort in the chest sometimes. I think I have a GERD-based LPR. I'd recommend just getting tested for covid if it's affordable if it's stressing you out.

Mar 22, 2022 · Not always as severe acid reflux caused me stop Rybelsus ( pill version of Wegovy ) after 52 days ( 7mg when stopped ). There was little rhyme or reason and anything I até gave me heartburn, even waiting 6 hours then going to bed I would get reflux which woke me up. All antacids did were weaken the reflux burn.
