Mar 29, 2020 · I've been using full obby, but ever since I was a kid I wanted an abyssal whip. I want to know what would be the best set up with the whip to maximize my strength against better monsters, was thinking of trying Barrows for the first time soon. I also only have 87 quest points so I'm sure I'll have to do some of those as well. Thanks.

Aug 26, 2022 · yeah but you have to remember that the whip attacks faster than the fang, so against most enemies that aren't insanely tanky like dragons, the whip destroys enemies on slayer tasks because of the slayer helm accuracy. the fang obviously outperforms pretty much anything as you start to hit things with more than 80+ resists

The Axe is meant to be between the D Scim and Whip, like the Cudgel is, and has the same level req; the difference is it is a speed slower but with higher stats. Mar 27, 2023 · I think rapier is probably like BIS general usage weapon after whip, particularly for like generic slayer monsters. Fang is good for higher defense. Arclight has its places, DHL has its places, and scythe has its places but in terms of a "one-size fits all" like the whip I definitely use rapier the most.

The Whip's controlled style is the most efficient combat training method (in across the board combat training). While you can grind strength directly, then use the extra DPS to grind attack & defense. This is overall slower then just using the whip on controlled. Its pretty great.

Aug 3, 2020 · im gonna say something weird and say keep the whip but ditch the scim. the leaf bladed battle axe actuay has a higher strength bonus than the whip even and allows strength training. it attacks slower but hits higher.

The 26 attack points gained with the godsword are more needed than the 25/24/23 defence points Godsword wins, but you can't use a anti-dragon shield with a godsword. Abyssal tentacle + defender combo. 90 slash + 24 slash = 114 slash

However, str is king in OSRS, so it’s more important to train your str over att and def. Get both if you don’t mind spending the money or just use a whip if you wanna slow level while using controlled
