Abdullah El Tayib, also referred to as 'Abd Allāh al-Tayyib al-Majdhūb (2 June 1921 – 19 June 2003) was a prominent Sudanese writer and scholar of Sudanese literature and the Arabic language.

Professor Abdullah El-Tayieb 1921-2003 (May Allah Bless Him) Is One of the Most Famous Scholars in the World. He is (The Godfather) Of Arabic Language for His Great Efforts in The Field of Arabic Language as well as his deep interesting in Different Languages especially in English Literature.

Professor Abd Allah Al-Tayyeb passed away in Khartoum on 19/6/2003. Abdullah Al-Tayyeb had a remarkable academic career of more than half a century, during which he emerged as one of the most prominent scholars of Arabic literature and language in the 20th Century.
