Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad[a] KVO1kl (born 15 November 1945), also known simply as Frida, is a Swedish singer who is best known as one of the founding members and lead singers of the pop band ABBA. Courtesy titles Princess Reuss and Countess of Plauen are also in use because of her third marriage.

Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad, better known simply as Frida, was born November 15, 1945 in Ballangen outside of Narvik, Norway. Her father was Alfred Haase, a German soldier, and her mother, Synni Lyngstad, was a Norwegian teenage girl.

Today, the songs they created – expertly written and produced by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, and interpreted vocally with passion and commitment by Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid “Frida” Lyngstad – are regarded as an important part of the international music canon.

From 1972, and for the next decade, Frida was mainly occupied by her work with ABBA, although she released the Swedish-language solo album Frida ensam ("Frida Alone") in 1975. Frida is best known as one of the singers of the Swedish pop band ABBA. In 1992, Lyngstad married Heinrich Ruzzo, Prince Reuss of Plauen, who was a prince of the former sovereign House of Reuss. Heinrich died of lymphoma in 1999.
