Ingram was an inmate in a Siberian prison camp prior to "volunteering". He was accused of various shady dealings, including selling controlled substances, kidnapping, human trafficking, fraudulent impersonation, and "solicitation of a minor".

Sep 27, 2020 · So I'm on my first run of the game and I know some spoilers, so I know it's possible to save some people. Aaron Ingram is apparently one of them. I realized pretty quickly that for practical reasons I don't need him to live, since I can just look up the code to armory or use the Huntress Boltcaster to shoot the button from the other side.

Nov 6, 2020 · Empathy (or lack of) is a decision that crops up on a few occasions throughout the game. This decision ALONE won’t have any drastic impact on your ending. I don't think it has any impact on the game later. I locked him in the armory after saving him, because pea-brain Aaron Ingram kept getting killed by a mediocre phantom that spawns in.

May 4, 2019 · So I started playing today, and came across Aaron in one of the areas. I let him out, but when I walked away, he got murdered by a Typhon and turned into a phantom. I reloaded the save, and tried letting him out at a different time, AND used up all his dialogue, but he just stands outside his cell, waiting for his face to get ripped off by a mimic.

Aug 6, 2019 · In case anyone was wondering, using Aaron Ingram to extract exotic material definitely voids the achievement. Pressing the button increments "people's killed" statistic too, even though you didn't shoot him personally.

If you choose to open the door and free Aaron Ingram he will give you the code to the Armory. It’s a static code so it’s always the same every play through, 8714. When you free him, he warns you about other Volunteers and gives a hint about Volunteer 37 for (much) later.
