Half-half Chardonnay & Pinot Noir harvested from our young vines. Fruit forward, gentle mousse, seashells, La Mer. Organically farmed, no additives, hand disgorged. Pinot Noir was foot stomped and macerated for about 6 hours with the Chardonnay hand picked on top and whole bunch pressed together.

Aard is the Flemish word for something's true nature; it's character or disposition. We chose this name as it reflects our approach to winemaking - simplicity, care and connection with the earth; allowing the vines to express themselves.

Planted by our family (Hopesgrove Wines) in 2005 & 2006, the vineyard is a relatively dense planting of 3.5ha. There are 5 parcels, each with its own exposure and terroir: Syrah, Chardonnay, Hillside, Pinot Noir and Viognier.
