Magnet ohms to 22.6ohms No codes With the front axles removed the output hubs are not spinning with AWD on and rear tires spinning in Low or High Removed front diff. Roll Pin was sheared, but everything looks fine.

Dec 26, 2010 · Like the title says. No awd icon or 4x4. I put a constant 12volts to the front diff cover and it holds the armature plate just fine. I put a volt meter on the plug connector and it's fluctuating from 2 - 11 volts and all between that. It will not stay still. Any advice will b appreciated!

Mar 3, 2022 · The AWD switch supplies 12v to front differential via the GY (grey) wire. The cluster provides a ground path for the front differential via the BN/WH (brown/white stripe) wire, when below conditions are met. For AWD to engage: 1) The engine must be less than 3100 RPMs AND 2) The gear display MUST display H, L, or R.

May 28, 2024 · AWD icon on dash not coming on. Ohms at coil within specs. 12v grounded to chassis coming from plug good at 12.7v. Measurement from ground wire to power wire showing 8.9v but manual says minimum of 11v needed. Some say this is normal. A bit confused there. My question is about the switch before I start chasing grounds.

Sep 24, 2009 · Anyone have experience with intermitent activation of 4WD or AWD in reverse only? When I push the AWD button and go into reverse the AWD icon does not always come on nor does the "R". But I can still move in reverse but no front wheel engagement. It usually works when the machine is cold but after running a bit the engagement does not work.

May 23, 2011 · Once enabled, the AWD remains enabled until the AWD switch is turned off" This is to prevent engaging AWD under heavy throttle when wheel spin is likely. So you have to let the RPMs get below 3100 after you turn on AWD for it to "engage", once the AWD Icon is on you are golden...it will stay engaged no matter the speed or RPM.

Dec 18, 2012 · The problem was indeed the cluster. I simply bypassed it, ran a jumper form the awd switch to the 12volt supply wire by the diff. When you hit the awd swith the amber light comes on and power is supplied to the diff. Seems to work perfectly. Only downside is I do not have the awd icon on the dash but for a $300 savings it will do.

Mar 17, 2014 · The actual 4 wheel drive icon on the odometer usually does not come immediately or has a long delay, regardless of the rpm, speed, stopping, moving, or changing gears. Eventually the switch light and AWD icon comes on and the AWD works fine. I have a video that shows the switch light delay, it also flickers sometimes, but I didn't record that.

Apr 29, 2012 · The gear positions show up correctly and the AWD icon lights up. Coil shows 23 ohms, which seems ok. Thinking the next step is to hook up the coil to the running machine and see if it engages the armature like it does when I hook it straight to the battery, to figure out if I have an electrical or mechanical problem.
