A few users have shared their own data here but mostly just on the smaller bookshelf models which did look good, to the larger cabinets but the data is poor and the posters get strangely defensive when you tell them their 0-120db window with 20 db scale is not good.

Jul 19, 2018 · I have my ATC SCM40's toed in so that the tweeters cross around 20 centimeters behind my head in the listening position. That's the toe-in I came up with when I fine-tuned the position, which I later discovered many others prefer as well. Mar 7, 2023 · They really are recommended by What-Hifi, and you are correct we did lose ATC, the main problem was that when customers compared say the 8Cs to our active 50’s( Yew veneer), the 8Cs walked all over them, more transparent, better bass extension, adjustable bass output, phase coherent, perfect step, inbuilt tone and PEQ, etc etc and the 8Cs are cheaper …

Oct 11, 2021 · I've read that ATC speakers are unforgiving of partnering equipment, but I don't believe the RME/Benchmark combo to be poor quality. I'm listening at low levels - 55 to 60 DB. I've read they like power. The Benchmark is rated for 100WPC and is believed to have more "real world" power. ===

Oct 12, 2020 · The biggest reason for ATC’s lack of popularity here are the poor measurements of a 15 year-old version of the ATC SCM19, one of it’s entry level passive range. It should be added that the measurements are poor relative to its inflated USA price ($4000 a pair vs $2700 equivalent in UK/Europe).
