Mar 15, 2020 · I did try it with a few B85's, Z77/Z87 (and AMD 970) motherboards and although I was able to get one AsRock Z77 and one Asus Z87 board to boot from the nvme SSD's it wasn't full rated throughput and required too much input (from me) to get it working. For a regular builder it's a no-go proposition and not worth the time.

Jul 25, 2008 · Hi again, everyone. I just got a new ASRock PV488 motherboard, and I'm trying to get it to work with my computer. I've got my video card, case LEDs, CPU and fans, SATA HDD, and one stick of RAM connected to it at the moment. When I push the power button, the Power LED lights up (so the mobo's getting power from somewhere), but nothing else moves.

One thing I would like to suggest is that, if you have a second HDD installed, move the paging file to the HDD... I had similar issues when running my SSD and moving the page file cleared most of them up.

That is all you need is the actual manual for your board model and revision.Power switch is the only pair of pins vital to powering up your machine the rest are simple led's and you just need to find in the manual which side is positive vs negative.
