May 9, 2021 · 45 Colt uses .452" bullets, same as the 450. That is what swayed me to the 450 as I already loaded 45 Colt and have a pile of projectiles. Also the magnum powders that I alrready used in 45 Colt work well in the 450. The only "bad" thing about the 450 is it uses small primers, which I am not flush in like large primers.

Oct 3, 2017 · 458 SOCOM and 450BM are so similar you could probably even use 450SOCOM data, backing off the appropriate amount, as a starting load for resized heavy weight 450 BM loads. 458 SOCOM is case volume 61.5 gr H2O @ 35,000 psi and 450 BM is is case volume ~60.0gr H2O @ 38,500 psi. Very similar cartridges.

Jun 27, 2009 · The single shot follower simply slides through the top of the mag and stays put. Takes about 2 seconds to go from .223 to .450 or vise versa. I'm running 30 rd mags, and they will hold 10 rds of the .450 with no problem. No problems with functioning either.

Jul 25, 2018 · I read somewhere that bushmaster recommends a rifle buffer with an A2 stock. I use one on a magpul moe rifle stock with no issues on my 450 build. I have no personal experience with a carbine tube but also heard that a regular carbine buffer works fine too but you may possibly need a spring with more power to send the bolt home consistantly.

May 3, 2022 · I had a Ruger 450 BM, it's a nice gun. I traded it off and bought a 350 Legend barrel for an AR I already owned. The 450 BM recoil is like shooting 12 ga, 350 L is like a 30/30. Also Rifle rated 9mm cans are very affordable, most .45 rifle cans are double the price.
