ELGO Electronic develops and manufactures magnetic length and and angle measuring systems for positioning tasks in mechanical engineering and automation. Position indicators and positioning controls complete the product portfolio.

LIMAX shaft information systems use magnetic tape technology to record the position of the elevator car in the shaft with high precision. The principle is very simple: A sensor mounted on the elevator car detects the current absolute car position using Hall sensors, which scan the magnetic tape mounted in the shaft without contact.

The non-contact and therefore wear-free magnetic measuring systems from ELGO are suitable for linear measurement, as well as for the detection of angle and speed. Incremental or absolute measuring systems are available.
