Aug 28, 2019 · Now the issue with the multicore boost is a bit different. When boosting a multicore load, PB and XFR boost all cores simultaneously, which was fine for the 2000 and 1000 series when all cores were relatively the same. However, AMD has already revealed that the 3900X (maybe the 3950X) has one CCD of 6 cores that performs better than the other.

A Ryzen 2400G on the other hand has a die, made out of only 1 CCX and a Vega GPU. Another example is 2600x which is the same as 2700x in terms of die, with 1 core in each CCX disabled, for a 3+3 configuration. AMD also released Banded Kestrel, that may or may not be a native dual-core with 2-core CCX. Information is not clear.
