Jan 28, 2021 · I have an AKG P120 but its not picking up sound. My gain is up, main mix level is up on my XenyxQ502. Phantom power is on. My computer is saying everything is working properly but nothing. My live mic is working fine, it picks that up with the levels but when i plug in the AKG it doesn't. Help please.

My set up is Mic>xlr cable>mixer>3/4 jack mic cable>audio interface>iMac The mixer is a phonic am125, I'm coming out of the aux send into the audio interface. Mar 26, 2012 · Well, the cited shockmount is declared to be compatible with the AKG Perception 820 tube microphone. Nevertheless, the 820 is more regular in shape than the smaller brothers (including the 120), I mean it's cylindric almost until the bottom, while the other become thinner from the half of the microphone downwards.
Can I mic drums overhead with a Perception 120?
Jul 19, 2010 · As for the AKG, it is a wide diaphragm condenser mic. Most engineers will use pencil condenser mic's with a small diaphragm for overhead use. It is very unlikely that it will damage your microphone (unless you are hitting the actual microphone with your stick) but you are not going to get a very clear sound using this setup.

Nov 23, 2012 · Just bought my first kick mic, an AKG D112. Also bought a nice weighted boom stand with a standard thread. This AKG mic comes with an adapter with a smaller diameter thread that I've never seen. However, the stem on the AKG mic is too narrow to fit in a standard mic adapter. Help!?!
