You may see some info on the web that the first A/C transit bus was a NYMTA GM Old Look in 1956 but that is incorrect.

Jan 15, 2007 · I know where there is a junkyard in Wi. that has a 40's ACF Brill bus in it. It's super quasi-futuristic, someone made it into a camper at one time and now it just sits in the yard. Could probably get parts off of it if need be.

Oct 22, 2017 · Did the C series have rear engines? Their transit models were the C-36 (the model in the post) and the C-44. Both of these had underfloor Hall-Scott engines. Their transit models C-27 and C-31 had rear mounted International engines.
