Stay Safe at Home (Olivia Newton John) ident. This ident only aired on the channel until Olivia Newton John's death in 2022.

This ident was animated by Robert Abel & Associates. A collection of closed captioning bumpers presented in cooperation with the National Captioning Institute.

The animation stops at the point where the figure resembles the early version of the infamous ABC logo, and then pulls back, with the words "Australian Broadcasting Commission" (at the top) and "National Television Service" (at the bottom) appearing at once, contracting with the ident.

ABC's no-frills yellow and black identity ran for 4 years. A very distinctive identity featuring black and white animations on a yellow background for idents and promos.

It contains four ABC circles, each with a different device inside (a cell phone (for ideos on iPhone), an iPod/mp3 player (for videos on iPod devices), a computer (for the videos on the ABC website), and a TV (for Live TV)).

In 1997 ABC TV [Australia] approached ad agency Batey Kazoo to create a series of idents & branding elements that would contemporise their broadcast identity and represent Australians as diverse as we had become even then.

ID: We start off with the ABC logo zooming in and morphing into a screen which then shows an ID used by the ABC in the past. Near the end of the ID shown, the video zooms off to the left at an angle.

KBTV-TV 9 (Denver, Colorado; now known as KUSA-TV and now an NBC affiliate): The station's logo replaces the ABC logo. KCAU-TV 9 (Sioux City, Iowa): There's a byline with the words "KCAU-TV" on top and "SIOUX CITY" on the bottom on the left and the station's logo on the right.
