Apr 4, 2021 · Yeah, since I went with Gustard X16, the A90 was a better match in terms of size/form factor. Also a month ago A30 units were on backorder and I didn't want to wait any longer. Plus I wanted a fully differential stack, not that it's made any difference in how things sound, it just seemed like a cool thing to have at the time.

May 25, 2020 · Then, in comparison, A90's balanced output, even though is relatively more noisy than single-ended output, has much less noise of single ended output on many amplifiers even compared with 789. 0.6uV vs 1.2uV. Single ended output of A90 is just lower at 0.2uV. Probably the lowest on the market, at least to my knowledge. Lastly, does it matter.

Feb 22, 2021 · The A90 is fed vía balanced by the MA X-SABRE 3 and the A30Pro via balanced by the MA mini-i Pro 3. If you are planning on driving your headphones via balanced out, then get the A90. Otherwise the A30Pro would give you more power.

Jan 4, 2019 · From the A90 spec, at high gain, with 2.9 Vrms single ended (RCA) in, you'll get 25 Vpp (= 8.8 Vrms) at the SE headphone out, and 49 Vpp (= 17.3 Vrms) at the BAL headphone out. With 2 Vrms RCA in, headphone out will be 6 and 12 Vrms, respectively.

Feb 1, 2021 · The A90 has been fantastic for a headphone amp and I would hate to part ways with it! Topping recently released the pre90 as a dedicated pre but I shouldn't suffer any loss, when routing the D90 thru the A90 pre amp mode, correct? The A90 outputs to the Yamaha Hs8 sub then the pair of monitors.
