The automatic transmission А541E differs from its predecessor in friction clutches in the 2-nd brake package and 4-th additional solenoid of the torque converter lock-up. At freeway speeds, once the engine is at operating temperature, the transmission will give a braking sensation for about half a second. This surprises me every time.
