Amaney Jamal, the Edwards S. Sanford Professor of Politics and director of the Mamdouha S. Bobst Center for Peace and Justice, has taught at Princeton since 2003. Jamal was born in Oakland, California, and lived in Modesto, California, as a child.

Sanford Professor of Politics,and Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University. Jamal also directs the Workshop on Arab Political Development, and the Bobst-AUB Collaborative Initiative.
