Jul 21, 2019 · If I recall correctly, 9x30mm Grom utilizes bullets from the 9x21mm Gyurza and 9x19mm Luger cartridges, but propels them with about 40% higher muzzle velocity (about twice the muzzle energy). As a PDW, it can also probably be classified as a "heavy submachine gun" due to its usage of what's essentially a magnum pistol cartridge.
