Apr 19, 2016 · NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — For the second time in three years, the 99th Security Forces Squadron at Nellis AFB has been recognized with the Air Force Outstanding Large Security Forces Unit Award. Previously in 2013, and once again in 2015.

The wing supports more than 10,000 personnel assigned to the USAF Warfare Center, 5 wings, and 52 tenant units on base. The wing consists of 12 squadrons aligned under the 99 th Mission Support Group and the 99 th Medical Group along with the 99 th Comptroller Squadron.

Apr 15, 2021 · The 99th Security Forces Squadron (SFS) continues to modify and advance its training to prepare for potential threats and effectively protect Nellis and its neighboring communities.

Constituted as 99 Security Police Squadron, and activated, on 9 Nov 1967. Organized on 2 Jan 1968. Inactivated on 31 Mar 1974. Activated on 1 Oct 1995. Redesignated as 99 Security Forces Squadron on 1 Jul 1997.

The 99 MSG/CC or the 99 MSG/CD are the installation commander’s designee for all matters relating to traffic supervision on Nellis AFB to include suspension or revocation of driving privileges.

From testing and tactics development programs to training schools and venues, the USAFWC provides Airmen with proven and tested technology, the most current tactics, superb training and a unique opportunity to practice integrated force employment.
