Customer: 97 chevy tahoe 5.7L crank no start. Has 55psi at the fuel rail. Wont start even with starting fluid. Has spark. But i changed the whole distributor and ignition coil. Truck was running fine then just would not fire one morning.

Im gonna take it to the chevy dealer here in town for a free brake inspection, and right when the figure it out, im gonna peel outta there and go by the parts myself. Screw the dealer with their high prices.

Jan 13, 2015 · It ended up being a borked gasket on the driver side port of the water pump. My dad used silicone gasket sealer when we replaced the pump like 6 years ago which may have had detrimental effects on the gasket over time. the coolant leaking ruined the gasket on the back of the pump too so we just got a new pump and a set of more sturdy aftermarket gaskets.
