Jan 11, 2010 · From 1998 and on, the cr 125 had a 5-speed transmission. From 1997 and back it had a 6-speed transmission. The engines are all different in their power delivery. They are similar but not exactly the same. I hope that answered your questions!!!

Aug 24, 2014 · Just picked up a '97 CR125 yesterday and want to know more about it. What is a good pipe for it...how's the carb...what settings or even go with a different carb? What other parts are compatible? There isn't too much out there so any info on these things would be appreciated.

May 9, 2006 · The 97 had usable (meaning us, unless you getting paid we are all pretty much the same) power from bottom to top. It makes sense what Punkrock said about the old style frame. For years now they have been trying to have the airbox line up with the carb.
