Feb 12, 2010 · Check the forks (suspension) for straightness and the swingarm and frame for damage. Figure on a set of reeds and a carb rebuild due to age and just sitting there. Anything can be fixed, but at some point it might be better to just find a different bike.

Apr 25, 2021 · Power and doesn’t hit as hard, low range is usable. 99 and up yz250s are idea because the motor still hasn’t changed, so parts are abundant. Search for Eric gorrs book. Consult Eric gorrs pamphlet on the early yamahas for more info. The 1996 is a solid bike, and a decent "all-'round" bike of the 1996-2001 era.

Dec 28, 2006 · grabbed an old 95 yz250 to spruce up and need plastic. I have seen tons of 96 and newer but very little for the 93-95. just wondering about the body diffs in these models and how much fabrication would be needed to use a year newer plastic.
