Sep 2, 2011 · A local gun store that I went to yesterday had the original blue box Ulyanovsk ammo that had "8m3 effect" written on the side. He had 11 boxes, but the guy he bought them from had them in his basement for 20 years so they were rusted a little. I bought the best 5 boxes and got them at a really low price.

Jun 4, 2012 · Hi Boys and Girls, it was suggested by my mentor to post pictures. A couple of months ago, p/u a couple of tins at a gun show. One had 8HP and the other was marked FMJ. So I asked around to see if these were the infamous 8m3's. Finally ordered some ammo cans (ran out) and since there are on the way, my mentor suggested I pop the can.

Jul 7, 2013 · I checked my stash, low and behold I have 520 rds. I never heard of the 8m3 until reading this article, I checked mine, it does have the ruffles. It is head stamped 95 with a 3 above it. The boxes are the same as opening post. I've blasted away a lot of this ammo, had it for years. Lots of info on this board.

Aug 12, 2013 · I firmly believe most of the Tulammo 124gr HP is the 8M3. I say most because some have posted photos of this ammo without the cuts. Can't find it now, but there is an email from a VP at Tulammo stating that due to quality control issues in the past only 90% of the 124gr has the 8M3 in it, while all current and future production is 100%.
