8700K bottleneck for 4080 16g and 4090 : r/buildapc - Reddit
Oct 12, 2022 · To the extend yes there is some videos of 8700k being bottle neck at 1440p on YouTube with 30xx cards already but we are talking small numbers like 5% difference. I am in similar situation to you. I don't think it's worth upgrading 8700k now when in 2 years you will likely get new processors and ddr5 at sensible prices.
8700k -> 13700k Honest Review : r/intel - Reddit
Dec 18, 2022 · Everything else is unexistant trash. 8700k is still a pretty capable cpu but it's time to rest, 10gen is still holding firmly. 11gen never existed, whomever designed 11gen commited heresy of the highest order and should get bitten by squirrels and their dog always poop inside the home in places that will leave them confused.
Whats a good upgrade for an i7 8700k? : r/buildapc - Reddit
My current i7 8700k / 3080 hybrid build with 3200mhz CL14 ram is still in the top 12% for what 3DMark (all benches) classifies as "High end 2022 Gaming builds" As of this week I've bought a new motherboard, CPU AIO, Ram and power supply because I intend on …
4080 Super on a i7 8700K(4K gameplay only) : r/nvidia - Reddit
8700k will be a bottleneck at 4K with the 4080 Super in a few games but should be fine for most. I had one with a 3080 for a couple years and the only game I remember the 8700k being the issue in was Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Upgraded to a 7800X3D and my framerate improved dramatically in that game, especially 1% lows.
i7-8700K is TPM 2.0 Compatible with "Intel TXT" built-in (Ref
Jun 26, 2021 · I wanted to post this for anyone else looking to see if their i7-8700K processor will run Windows 11 due to the TPM 2.0 requirement. I know the 8700k was and still is a very popular processor. First, I realized that TPM 2.0 is not a chip itself but a specification for a chip standard. That means each processor company (Intel, AMD, ect.)
8700k to 7800x3d upgrade : r/buildapc - Reddit
I had a 8700k 1080ti, that combo will probably go down in my history as greatest build ever. Finally upgraded to 7800x3d and 7900xtx. The performance is triple. But part of me will miss that 8700k 1080ti, such a fighter. But new pc is an absolute beast.
8700k temps, are these normal or too high? - [H]ard|Forum
Oct 23, 2007 · I have a Kraken K62, with the AIO rad mounted on the front of my S340 Elite case. See pics below. At idle I was seeing 50-60c in silent. When I switched the Kraken to Performance, it went to 33-38c range at idle. Under load, I was doing …
Will an i7-8700k bottleneck an RTX 3080? : r/pcmasterrace - Reddit
Sep 2, 2020 · For reference, my overclocked 5820k performs similar to a stock 8700k (minus temps, 5820k runs much hotter than a stock 8700k lol). Most all of my games I play only utilize 20-25% of my CPU when paired with an OC 1080, while gaming in 3440x1440. For reference here, benchmarks show at least a 100% improvement over the 1080 in pretty much every game.

4000mhz CL12 or you'll bottleneck your 8700K. If you don't want to bottleneck your ram then you need a sli 1080ti. If you don't want to bottleneck your gpus, then you need a $300 extreme gaming mother board. If you don't want to bottleneck your motherboard than you need a $600 CaseLabs case. If you can't afford all of this then don't get an ...
Upgrading from 8700k : r/buildapc - Reddit
Uograded from 8700k 3070ti (then 4090) to 13900k with 4090. Still in the process of full testing thanks to time limitations BUT, let me tell you the few results I have so far. First off, 8700k with 4090 is a bad combo. CPU is too slow that GPU relies on DLSS and DLSS is trash in some games. But 8700k with 3070ti is just fine.
