Aug 8, 2024 · The 83 was my very first ever dirt bike I owned and I've wanted another for nostalgia reasons ever since. The bike looks complete and not too rough but I'll see for sure tomorrow. Guy thinks he can get $2,800 for it, unrestored, but I got him down to the $1,300-$1,500 range with the costs of parts, if needed.

Jan 27, 2012 · My friend is a YZ fanatic and worked many years at a local dealership here in Ohio. He has (2) '83 YZ125's, and also (1) '84 YZ125. He was able to get all the original YZ wrench reports and had Eric Gore do a bunch of motor work on his race '83. I know he also switched it to an IT 250 carb per the reports.

Sep 3, 2024 · I found a complete 83 YZ125 bike which I've been looking for for quite a while. This was the first dirt bike I ever owned so it has sort of a soft spot in the heart! So far I've managed to strip it all down and have the frame re-painted and have also put new bearings in the swingarm so issues there. , linkage, shock, and steering.

Apr 23, 2019 · Starting my new rebuild project, an 83 YZ125. Anyone happen to have a frame that is in good to great shape? Also would like to find a cylinder that is also in great shape, preferably 56mm bore! Any help anyone could offer me in this quest would be appreciated!
