May 4, 2004 · First off, let me say I've always been a huge fan of the 300ZX's! I even like them better than the new 350Z's. So now, I'm thinking of picking up a used 90 - 94 300zx for a few grand as my daily driver. Ideally, I'd like a n/a 300zx, stick or auto, with less than 100k miles, and a 2+2 for some added room, but not a big deal.

Sep 20, 2005 · Lookin good for the most part, except the early 80s Corvetter engines had minor differences from the regular run of the mill units. I think centerbolt valve covers started in early 86, and the 85 'Vettes had aluminum heads. And as far as a 4-bolt main 350, I have never seen one and I've been in a lot of 350s.

Jan 27, 2005 · Different year 300zx in the 80s used different O2 sensor technology and different ecu programs and chips. The 87-89 300zx ecus are the best ecus if you can get them. The 86 is the oddball year in that it uses a much different O2 sensor than 84-85s (the 'old' type) and the 87-89 (the best kinds).
