Aug 8, 2021 · The article makes clear why DynSync describes the RE-808 as a ‘replica’ – it’s a 1:1 clone of the original, so RE-808 parts are interchangeable with original TR-808 parts. You could pull a PCB out of an RE-808, stick it in TR-808 and it would work.

Hi all! I am trying to figure out the best TR808 clone. Like layout looks and all. The yocto v1 seams awesome but i can’t seam to find where to get one. Thoughts?

This Yocto2 is the latest version of a well-known DIY kit and meticulous clone of the classic Roland TR-808 drum machine. It’s my understanding that it recreates the 808’s analog drum sounds by using the same components and circuit layout of the original’s.

Feb 8, 2021 · If you want the sound of a tr-808, the modern Roland boxes, the Behringer and Yocto do not really cut it. Check out the 8raw8 module instead: https://youtu.be/zLcnX-X3g84 I think the name stinks and there's no sequencer, but the sound is absolutely there.
