Mar 21, 2021 · You can use Davinci Resolve to load a lossless piece of material into the color page, convert it to your log profile of choice, then do sample grades to see how well it holds up. I own the paid studio version of Resolve but the free version should work fine with 8-bit files - you can download it here .

I then imported all the clips, along side the original raw clip, and did a single color grade to all: increasing Davinci's contrast slider from 1.0 to 1.49.
