A year later the Army Air Force ordered a small number for testing as trainers for multi-engine pilots and designated them AT-8 and with a different engine as AT-17.

During my last September trip via North-Western States I found Bobcat 42-71507 (such number is on the tail) in WAAAM, Hood River, OR. It looks very good. Second one (N5239?, derelict, in parts, mainly without fabric, prepared for rebuiling) is in Airspace Museum of CA, Sacramento.
