The 6th Infantry Division is an infantry division of the Philippine Army. Popularly known as the Kampilan Division, it is one of the Philippine Army's infantry units in Central Mindanao.

LOOK|| The 6th Infantry (Redskin) Battalion 6ID, PA joined the Army-wide Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony in Celebration of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) with the theme " 75 Taong Paninindigan sa IHL Kamalayan, Kalinga, Kaunlaran: Kalakasan ng IHL sa Bagong Pilipinas" held at Headquarters, Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur on August 5, 2024.

According to the 6th Infantry Division (6ID), an armed encounter also erupted between government troops and the armed group in the area. Seized from the area were two improvised explosive devices (IEDs); two M16 rifles; and four M14 rifles.

6ID was tasked to secure in 1995 the Malitubog-Maridagao Irrigation Project (MMIP), a National Government flagship project located in Carmen, North Cotabato also known as MALMAR Complex.

MGEN DONALD MALLANAO GUMIRAN PA is a proud member of the Philippine Military Academy “Tanglaw-Diwa” Class 1992 who rose to a star rank attributable to his untiring commitment to his duty and exceptional accomplishments. On January 25, 2025, he took the helm of the 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division as its 43rd Commander.

6ID Emblem The 6th Infantry Division, Philippine Army , was re-established on October 24, 1987 by the Armed Forces of the Philippines, with Brig. General Gonzalo H. Siongco as the first Commanding General assigned in its headquarters in Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.

When the 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment was attached in the 1990s, the division was known as the other derogatory nickname the “Jumpin’ Jews”. [1] . The six points of the star refer to the unit's numerical designation. [2]
