Mar 22, 2010 · The wheels are 17x10 with a 6.25" backspacing and a 20mm offset. The tires are 285/40/17's Will these fit with a 1" or 2" wheel adapter? The overall diameter is close to my current wheel/tire setup (25.6" vs 26") but i'm not sure of the width issue or the spacer/adapter I need. Thanks in advance. Also, how different is the rear end of a 67 ...

Nov 8, 2004 · heres mine, 17x8 and 17x9.5 with 245/45/17 and 275 40/17's!8's also fit, I think aguy that works at JBA has a 67 fastback with 18's I think its on their website.

Jan 30, 2011 · If you have the Stang wheels or have access to a similiar Mustang, measure the backspacing, offset of the wheels you want to fit, then measure the backsapcing of your stock wheels & look at the difference. As stated above, your car will probalby have around 4 3/4" backspacing & the new wheels, probalby 5" or even more.

Oct 16, 2006 · like the other threads about it say, the backspacing on the '05+ wheels is different than the '02-04 wheels. you will need a spacer or an adaptor for either set, but you will need it 1/4" thicker for the '05+ wheels.

Jun 23, 2008 · The 67-68's are not as wide as the 69-70 Mustang/Cougars. On my 70 Cougar I am going 17 X 8 TT2's w/4.75 bs and 17 X 11's TT2's w/5.75 bs. The 67-68 would be a much tighter fit in the rears and most likely go with a lesser back spacing. Here's a picture of 17 X 7's up front w/4.50 bs and 17 X 11's w/5.75 bs on a 68 Cougar.
